Another type of roulette is the European wheel which is also known as the Single Zero roulette or sometimes French Roulette and it's resembles the American wheel. The European wheel has only a single zero while the American one has a single zero and a double zero, and that is main difference between them. As the red/black and odd/even are placed right next to each other, and the first18/last18 betting spots are placed right next to the single numbers on the american table it is more practical during the game, but the European table is more more beautiful in symmetry. The European single zero offers the player better odds than the American wheel with it’s single and double zero.

The Martingale is the best-known roulette betting system. There are a great number of variations of it. The main idea of the system is that when you win, you pocket your bet. But when you lose, you double the size of your previous bet. By doing this in case you win, you get back your previous loss and one more unit. And so on. The Martingale System works great only in case you are not limited in your bankroll and betting. The d'Alembert system is also rather popular. The system is based on the assumption that after a win you are less likely to win again. That's why after you win, you subtract a chip from your bet. The d'Alembert system also assumes that you are less likely to lose after a losing spin, so in that case, you add a chip to your bet. The fact that the roulette wheel has no memory and each spin is an independent trial with exactly the same odds of a win or loss is the previous spin is a weak point of the system. |
Spinning a ball on a round wheel is the main feature of the game of Roulette. The wheel contains thirty seven numbered pockets. When the wheel stops, the ball stops in one of the slots. The object of European Roulette is to correctly predict the slot in which the ball will stop. If you predict the number of the section in which the ball stops, you win. The size of your winning depends on how the bet was placed.

Making a bet.
Special chips are used to make a bet. Your chips are stacked by denomination (, , , 0, 0) at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. You have to select the amount you would like to wager on a given roll(s). To choose a chip you have to click the left mouse button on the chip you want to bet with. After choosing a chip you have to place your bet on the Roulette table by clicking on a bet field. To specify a bet that does not equal to an existing chip denomination, simply click on another chip denomination after placing your previous chip on the table. For example, to bet , click on the chip and place it on the table then click on the chip and place it on top of the chip. If you want to repeat your last bet hit the "0" button of your numeric keyboard. Depending on where you choose to place your chips, you can bet on anywhere from one to eighteen numbers with a single bet. You spin the wheel after you have made a bet or bets. To spin the roulette wheel press the "Spin" button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen or click on the roulette wheel. Above the game menu you can see a history table, in which the results of the previous winnings are shown. In the history table there are numbers of different color. The Yellow numbers mean that they belong to the Black set of numbers, the Red numbers - to the Red set of numbers and the Green colored number is '0'. Press the "Pass" button to make the wheel spin without making a bet. You can place eight different kinds of bets on the European Roulette table. Each type of bet covers a certain range of numbers. Each bet has its own payoff rate. Rows are short lines of three numbers each. Columns are long lines with twelve numbers each. There exist inside and outside bets. Inside bets are made on the numbered space or on the lines between them. Outside bets are made on the special boxes below and to the right of the board. Straight Up bet is a bet on any single number (including zero). Split Bet is a bet on the line between any two numbers, here 0-1, 0-2, 0-3 combinations are not allowed. Street Bet is a bet placed at the end of any row of numbers. A street bet covers three numbers. Corner Bet is a bet at the corner where four numbers meet. Corner bet covers four numbers. Line Bet is a bet at the end of two rows at the intersection between them. A line bet covers all the numbers in either row, for a total of six. Column Bet is a bet in one of the boxes at the end of the columns. Column bet covers all the numbers in that column, a total of twelve. The zero is not covered by any of the columns. Dozen Bet is a bet placed in the box marked 12P and covering numbers 1 to 12, 12M covering numbers 13 to 24, 12D covering numbers 25 to 36. Red/Black, Even/Odd, Low/High is a bet placed in one of the six boxes and covering the half of the board described in that box. Each box covers eighteen numbers. Low covers numbers 1 to 18. High covers numbers 19 to 36.
Roulette is a wheel game. The wheel of the roulette is spinned on an axis which is placed in a bowl. There are 37 or 38 numbered slots on the wheel, an American roulette wheel contains 38 slots, a European roulette wheel - 37. There are black and red numbers. The 0 or 00 are green. Up to 8 people can play roulette at the same time. Accordind to the rules the croupier spins the wheel of roulette in one direction and then rolls the ball around the edge of the wheel in the opposite direction. After the ball had fallen at one of the slots and stopped, the croupier announces the winners. You are to guess the number of the slot in which the ball will stop and to make the right bet. Before you start game, you buy chips from the croupier, and roulette chips are almost always different from all other chips in the casino. Each player has chips of his own color that's why the croupier knows who to pay off at the end of each spin. Players can make their bets until the croupier announces, "No more bets. "After the result of the spin is determined, the croupier puts a marker on top of the winning number on the table. The marker is placed on top of the chips, if there are bets on that number. Then all losing bets are swept off the table before the winning bets are paid off.
