Some casinos have special rules. In Prison/En prison When the ball falls on zero, red/black, odd/even and first half/last half bets will not be collected by the croupier - instead they will have to stay on the table - in other words they are in prison. In the next spin the players have a chance of winning their original bet back - if their bet wins they will get their original bet back but with no additional win. If the ball should land on zero once again the bets will remain in prison one more spin and so on. This special rule is greatly to the advantage for the players, as it reduces the casinos edge to only 1. 35 percent. La Partage In case the ball stops at zero slot, the croupier will not fully collect red/black, odd/even and first half/last half bets. Only half of the players’ bets will be collected - the rest will be returned to the players. La Partage rule reduces the casinos edge to 1. 35 percent as well as In Prison rule. |
Roulette is a wheel game. The wheel of the roulette is spinned on an axis which is placed in a bowl. The wheel is divided into slots: American roulette wheel into 38, European - into 37. The numbers can be black or red. The 0 and 00 are considered green. 8 players can participate the game at the same time. The rules suggest that the croupier spins the wheel of roulette in one direction and then rolls the ball around the edge of the wheel in the opposite direction. After the ball had fallen at one of the slots and stopped, the croupier announces the winners. You are to guess the number of the slot in which the ball will stop and to make the right bet. Before you start game, you buy chips from the croupier, and roulette chips are almost always different from all other chips in the casino. Each player has chips of his own color that's why the croupier knows who to pay off at the end of each spin. When the croupier announced "No more bets", hlayers cannot make bets. After the ball had stopped,the croupier puts a marker on top of the winning number on the table. If there are bets on that number,the marker is placed on top of the chips. The croupier sweeps off the table all losing bets and after that the winning bets are paid off.
