Roulette Entertainment Rules. In roulette everything depends on chance. The only thing you can do from a strategic point of view is to try to keep the house edge to a minimum. Casinos often have special rules which directly affect on the edge. The 'surrender' option is the first strategy to know. This rule is applied to outside bets such as odd/even, red/black, and high/low. In case the ball falls on 0 or 00 you lose half your bet,but not the whole betting. This affects the house edge considerably; after all it is the 0 and 00 which account for the high house edge in the first place. Even though the payoffs aren't as great for outside bets, you are improving your odds substantially by finding a table with the ‘surrender' rule. Rather interesting point is the 0 and 00. It is better to look out for tables with only one 0 , or European tables. Primarily found in Europe, these tables offer a much more attractive house edge from the player's point of view. With a European table to play on you are reducing the house edge from 5. 26 percent to 2. 7 percent. Physically European roulette tables are found more often in Europe, but in the ‘online world’ gambling they are just a click away.

The world 'roulette' means 'a small wheel' in French. It was Blaise Pascal who introduced the primitive version of this game in the 17th century. The single zero Roulette was introduced in 1842 by Frenchmen Francois and Louis Blank. In the 19th century casino gambling was forbidden in France, that's why the game wasn't so well-known in France, but it was very popular in Hamburg and Germany. Later the game of Roulette was brought back to France and the Prince of Monaco loved this game a lot. In the 1800s the game of Roulette was introduced to the US public. The improvements were deleted, and a double "00" returned. The game became popular in the old west of America.

Roulette is a wheel game. The wheel placed in a bowl spins on an axis. The wheel consists of 37 or 38 slots depending on the type of roulette:American roulette wheel contains 38 slots,European - 37. There are black and red numbers. The 0 or 00 are green. Up to 8 people can play roulette at the same time. The rules suggest that the croupier spins the wheel of roulette in one direction and then rolls the ball around the edge of the wheel in the opposite direction. When the ball stops and falls at one of the slots the croupier announces the winners. The aim of roulette is to guess the number of the slot in which the ball will stop and to make the right bet. Before you start game, you buy chips from the croupier, and roulette chips are almost always different from all other chips in the casino. Each player has chips of his own color that's why the croupier knows who to pay off at the end of each spin. Players can make their bets until the croupier announces, "No more bets. "After the ball had stopped, the croupier puts a marker on top of the winning number on the table. The marker is placed on top of the chips, if there are bets on that number. Then all losing bets are swept off the table before the winning bets are paid off.
