Roulette Strategy

Roulette is a game of chance. The only thing you can do from a strategic point of view is to try to keep the house edge to a minimum. There are special rules in casinos which directly affect on the edge. The first special rule is the 'surrender' option. This rule is applied to outside bets such as odd/even, red/black, and high/low. In case the ball falls on 0 or 00 you lose half your bet,but not the whole betting. This affects the house edge considerably; after all it is the 0 and 00 which account for the high house edge in the first place. Of course, the payoffs aren't as great for outside bets, but simply by finding a table with the ‘surrender' rule, you are improving your odds substantially. Rather interesting point is the 0 and 00. It is better to look out for tables with only one 0 , or European tables. Primarily found in Europe, these tables offer a much more attractive house edge from the player's point of view. With a European table to play on you are reducing the house edge from 5. 26 percent to 2. 7 percent. Physically European roulette tables are found more often in Europe, but in the ‘online world’ gambling they are just a click away.

Playing Roulette Game. When an experienced dealer spins the Roulette wheel and releases the ball with approximately the same speed it is called the dealer signature. As long as there is little or no deflection from the metal stops on the roulette wheel it is possible to predict where the ball will drop. If you watch the game and notice that the number has repeated within 100 spins you must use this chance as you are more likely to deal with a biased wheel and turn it to your advantage. The biased wheel gives you an opportunity to overcome the house’s advantage. You must buy in chips before playing roulette and exchange the colored chips for regular casino chips when leaving the Roulette table. When choosing a bet, try to avoid 5 number bets as the payback with these bets is much lower. The house advantage on a 5 number bet is a whopping 7. 89 percent. If you have a choice play the European Roulette as the odds are more in your favor. When playing European Roulette don’t forget about the Surrender option. Never spend more than you have planned to.

The world 'roulette' means 'a small wheel' in French. The primitive version of the game was introduced by Blaise Pascal in the 17th century. Frenchmen Francois and Louis Blanc invented the single "0" roulette game in 1842. The game wasn't then very popular in France as any form of gambling was considered illegal, but Roulette was well-known in Germany and Hamburg. Later the game of Roulette was brought back to France and the Prince of Monaco loved this game a lot. The game of Roulette was brought to the USA at the beginning of the 19th century. Some additional features were deleted and the game got a double zero back. The game became popular in the old west of America.

When you play the game of Roulette you don't compete with other players. In Roulette you play only against the dealer. 8 players can take part in the game. Players buy in and receive colored chips. All players have chips of different color. If you win a spin, you cash your color chip in for a cash chip of a certain value. The "En Prison" rule. If you place an even money bet and the ball lands on zero, you can either take back your bet or leave it for another spin. If you choose to leave your bet for another spin you put it "in prison" as the jargon is. The 'La Partage' rule. When you place an outside even money bet and the ball lands on zero, you lose half your bet and you are not able to leave the remainder in prison, or out for another spin.
